The Beginning: Moss Baseballklubb was founded in the Spring of 2012. The news spread by word of mouth and by summer a team was up and running. With the help of Morten Marius and Simen Apenes of the Fredrikstad Bears, The Shields were established and brought baseball to Moss. The majority of the year was spent learning the fundamentals. The guys picked it up quickly and managed a few friendly matches against Fredrikstad that ended poorly for Moss. By taking each match, training and clinic as a learning experience the Moss Shields developed as a team both on and off the field and improved greatly by the end of the year. With new goals and a year of experience under their belts, the Moss Shields look to 2013 with anticipation and great expectations.
